NAA SOUTHEAST REGION ANNUAL Meeting

Join us at the Doubletree Orlando Airport Hotel located at 5555 Hazeltine National Drive in Orlando for the advocacy skills training program on Friday, February 24, 2017 and the NAA Southeast Region Meeting on Saturday, February 25, 2017. The advocacy skills program will feature case preparation skills, evidence and standards of proof and interaction with experienced advocates and NAA arbitrators. A cocktail reception is scheduled for Friday evening at the Doubletree Orlando Airport Hotel beginning at 6 p.m.
The registration fee for the advocacy training program is $200 and the registration fee for NAA Southeast region meeting is $250 ($225 early bird registration by Jan. 1, 2017). The registration fee for both the advocacy training program and the NAA Southeast region meeting is $350 ($325 early bird registration by Jan. 1, 2017). Any organization registering three or more participants will receive a special discount.
The $250 NAA SE region meeting registration fee includes a cocktail reception on Friday evening, breakfast on Saturday morning, refreshment breaks, lunch on Saturday and all conference materials. The $200 advocacy training registration fee includes refreshment breaks, lunch, and all training program materials for the Friday, February 24, 2017 training program. The NAA Southeast regional meeting is an excellent opportunity for union and management advocates to meet and interact with NAA arbitrators from throughout the Southeast.
Friday, February 24, 2017: Arbitration Advocacy Training 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The National Academy of Arbitrators is sponsoring an advocates' skills training program on Friday, February 24, 2017. NAA arbitrators will lead discussions of issues based on case scenarios from various sectors. These discussion sessions will involve topics from the Florida public sector, the postal service and the private sector. The program will include an introduction to the arbitration process, presentations from experienced advocates, and an interactive session between arbitrators and advocates. NAA Arbitrators on the program will include Vickie Peterson Cohen, Clearwater, Florida, Frederic Dichter, Vero Beach, Florida, Harry Gudenberg, Palm Coast, Florida, Hal Smith, Miami, Florida, Martin A.
