NAA SOUTHEAST REGION ANNUAL CONFERENCE
ADVOCATES and ARBITRATORS
Friday and Saturday, February 26-27, 2016
Join us at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Airport Hotel on Virginia Avenue for advocate training on Friday, an opportunity to visit informally Friday evening, February 26th, during cocktails and dinner, and for programs for advocates and arbitrators all day on Saturday, February 27th.
The Crowne Plaza Atlanta Airport Hotel is located at 1325 Virginia Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia 30344. The Crowne Plaza Atlanta Airport Hotel is located in close proximity to Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. The NAA Southeast Region has reserved a block of rooms for Thursday and Friday night, February 25th and 26th at the group rate of $95 per night. The deadline for the conference rate is FEBRUARY 4, 2016. The registration fee for the regional meeting includes dinner on Friday night, continuous refreshments including breakfast and lunch as well as printed materials. There is a separate registration fee for the Advocacy Training program. Those registering for both programs will receive a discount. This is an excellent opportunity to meet with arbitrators from the Southeast Region and other NAA regions as well as with union and management advocates from the area. Advocates Training: “Fine Tuning Your Case Preparation and Presentation” (featuring two mock arbitration cases and guidance by highly experienced arbitrator/coaches and advocates on what to look for, what to do and what to avoid) – NAA Regional Chair Philip LaPorte, Georgia State University College of Law, will lead the program. Coaches for this session will be experienced arbitrators who have proven track records, not only as arbitrators, but also as teachers. The cases deal with timely and timeless issues and will give attendees a chance to prepare and present their cases to the arbitrator coaches.
