2025 ARBITRATION ADVOCATE TRAINING
This all-day training (830AM - 5PM) is intended for labor and management advocates to learn from NAA arbitrators about how to present grievance arbitration cases.
It includes a brief overview of the key issues and techniques, followed by students engaging in the hands-on preparation and presentation of a labor case study, with NAA arbitrators assisting students' preparation of the case and then conducting mock arbitration hearings.

The 2025 Labor Arbitration Advocacy Training will take place June 10, 2025, 830AM - 5PM, at the Sea Palms Resort, in beautiful St. Simons Island, GA.
Here's your schedule of events:
- 8:30 a.m. Welcome and Orientation
- 8:45 a.m. The Labor Arbitration Process
- 10:30 a.m. Advocates Prepare Their Cases. In concurrent Breakout Sessions and with the assistance of an NAA Arbitrator faculty member, teams prepare their cases for presentation during the afternoon.
- 12:30 p.m. Lunch (with speaker, NAA Arbitrator Phil LaPorte)
- 1:30 p.m. Advocates Present Their Cases. In concurrent Breakout Sessions, teams present their cases to a different NAA Arbitrator faculty member for decision.
- 3:45 p.m. Labor Arbitrator Panel: Ask Me Anything. A panel of NAA arbitrators answer your questions about what works and doesn't in labor arbitration.
- 4:45 p.m. Closing Remarks
